Wasilla, Alaska
Purcell has two listings in Wasilla, both at 7340 W. Marigold Dr and both on (907) 376-4755. One is the commercial service store, the other is a distribution location holding tire stock. The difference is what they do, not where they are.
The service side. Five services for trucks, trailers and fleets: 24-hour roadside assistance, fleet services, heavy-duty truck alignment, car and light truck alignment and tire and wheel balancing.
Store manager: Colton Savage. Carries eight tire categories, including industrial tires, which the Anchorage and Fairbanks stores do not.
The supply side. All nine Purcell tire categories held in stock, and no service work performed. Manager: Robert Dees.
This is the Alaska end of Purcell's distribution network, and it is the reason stores at the end of a long supply line can get hold of sizes without a wait measured in weeks.
Call the number above either way. If the work needs doing to a vehicle, you want the commercial store. If the question is whether a tire is in stock, you want distribution.
Hours for both are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Anchorage and Fairbanks run the same five services as the Wasilla commercial store. No Alaska location offers retreading, OTR services, wheel refurbishing, mobile service or general vehicle repair. See the Alaska locations page.
