How to read those numbers
The counts say how many Purcell locations list a service, not how close the nearest one is to you. A service offered at 48 locations across 12 states may still mean a drive, and one offered at 13 may be on your doorstep.
Two sensible ways to start:
By service. Open the service you need from the list above. Each page carries a state-by-state list of every location that offers it, with a link to that store.
By location. Open the locations directory, find the store nearest you, and read what it does. That page is the authoritative list for that store.
Why the lists differ by store
Purcell runs seven kinds of location, and the type sets the work:
- Commercial stores, 17 of them, built for trucks, trailers and fleets.
- Commercial & Consumer stores, 32, which cover both.
- Consumer stores, 2, for cars and light trucks only.
- Retread plants, 7, which retread casings and sell no tires.
- Distribution Services, 4, and the Central Distribution and Fleet Support Center, 1, which hold tire stock and perform no service work.
- Truck Tire Center, 1, in Salt Lake City.
A commercial store that does not change oil is not missing something. It is built for a different customer, and the store down the road that does change oil is probably built for you.
