A loaded trailer with an appointment is a different call
On a freight operation the question is rarely only how long the repair takes. It is whether the load still makes its window.
That changes what is useful to say when you call. A unit stopped empty on its way back to the yard and a unit stopped loaded with a delivery slot in four hours are the same mechanical job and completely different problems, and the store cannot tell which it is unless somebody says.
Give the deadline if there is one. It will not change physics, and it will change the order things are attempted in and whether it is worth discussing alternatives at all.
The alternatives are worth knowing about in advance rather than inventing at midnight: whether another unit can take the load, whether the trailer can be dropped and recovered later, and who in your organization can authorize either. Those are decisions that take minutes when somebody has thought about them and a long time when nobody has.
Reduce the calls with the yard visit
Springdale is the only Arkansas location offering mobile service, which is the planned version of the same work.
Most roadside calls were visible in advance on a tire somebody could have looked at. A standing yard visit catches those while the unit is parked and nothing is urgent, which is the version of this service that costs least.
What is covered
Commercial units: tractors, trailers, straight trucks and equipment. Springdale carries all nine Purcell tire categories.
The store is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The national roadside assistance page lists what any call needs, and authorization is settled in advance on a fleet account.
About this store
The Springdale store runs eighteen services, the longest list in Arkansas, and is managed by Jackie McAfee.
See the national roadside assistance page for all 48 locations.
