Purcell Tire & Service in Paducah, KY: Consumer Store

Worth knowing before you drive over, because both are at the other Paducah store:

• Tire fitting and balancing. This location does not list tire and wheel balancing, so a tire fitting belongs at Wayne Sullivan Dr.
• Commercial work. Roadside assistance, fleet accounts, heavy-duty alignment, OTR work and retreading are all at the commercial and consumer store.

Passenger, light truck, trailer and UTV and ATV tires. Agricultural, commercial, industrial, OTR and track tires are at the Wayne Sullivan Dr store.

Trailer and UTV tires in a consumer store say something about western Kentucky: plenty of people here tow something at the weekend, and plenty run a side-by-side.

Call first. Five minutes on the phone establishes whether the work is on this store's list, roughly how long to allow, and whether anything needs ordering in. That is the difference between dropping a vehicle and sitting with it.

Bring the vehicle and, if you have it, a note of what was done last time and when. Expect to be told what the store found rather than what it would like to sell, and to be given the choice on anything that is not urgent.

If more than one thing is due, say so when you book. Several jobs in one visit is usually less time off the road than the same jobs spread across three.
