The night call and the morning after
Monroe opens at 7:30 AM, half an hour earlier than the other two Purcell stores in Washington, and that matters more for roadside work than it sounds.
A unit dealt with overnight is often a unit that needs something else: an alignment check, a wheel looked at, a suspension component that contributed to the failure. Monroe runs seventeen services, which is more than any other Purcell location in the state, so the follow-up happens at the same address rather than as a second appointment somewhere else.
Getting a truck moving is the immediate job. Finding out why it stopped is the one that stops it happening again.
Say why it stopped, not just that it stopped
A roadside call carries information most fleets discard.
A tire that failed on a drive position, worn on one shoulder, had an alignment problem behind it. A tire that went flat slowly had a puncture somebody could have found. Three calls in a season from the same position on the same unit is a pattern rather than three bad nights.
The store has the failed tire in its hands. Ask what it showed, and act on the answer.
What is covered
Commercial units: tractors, trailers, straight trucks, agricultural and off-highway equipment. Monroe carries all nine Purcell tire categories, so the tire that arrives is more likely to be the right one.
The store is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Roadside assistance covers commercial units outside those hours.
What to have ready
The national roadside assistance page lists what any call needs. Add what the failed tire looked like if anyone can see it, because that is the detail that stops the call happening again.
Authorization and billing hold up more night calls than anything technical, and a fleet account settles both in advance.
