Calling about a unit that has stopped
Roadside work goes faster with the right five details, and a driver who has them ready usually gets the correct tire on the first trip:
- Where the unit is, by highway and mile marker where possible.
- The tire size and position, read off the sidewall.
- Whether the unit is loaded, and with what.
- The company, the unit number, and who authorizes the work.
- A phone number that stays reachable.
The size is the one that decides the outcome. A technician sent with the wrong tire has to go back, and the unit waits through both trips.
