Put a card in every cab
A roadside call goes as fast as the information in it. The technician needs to bring the right tire, and the right tire depends on details a driver under stress often cannot produce from memory, especially in a unit they do not usually drive.
A single card kept in the visor solves most of it. Fill one in for each unit and leave it there.
The unit. Fleet number, make and plate, so the call is matched to the right vehicle and the right account.
The tire sizes, by axle. Steer, drive and trailer are frequently different sizes, and a driver reading a sidewall at night on the shoulder is not the ideal source for them.
The account details. The account name or number and who authorizes work, so nobody has to wake a manager to approve a tire.

A driver with that card in hand gives a complete call in under a minute. Without it, the first part of the call is a search for information that already existed somewhere in the office.
What to add during the call
Where the unit is, which side of the road and which direction it was heading, and which position has failed. Whether the unit is loaded matters too, since it affects how the tire change is handled safely.
What is covered
Commercial units: tractors, trailers, straight trucks and equipment. Orem runs eighteen services, so a unit that needs more than a tire afterwards can come here for heavy-duty truck alignment or trailer alignment. Authorization is settled in advance on a fleet account.
