The only one in the state
Thirteen Purcell locations run mining fleet services. Monroe is the Washington one, which makes it the store to talk to about a quarry, a pit or any operation running equipment hard enough that tires are a managed cost rather than a purchase.
Lacey and Renton both run OTR services, so a tire can be fitted or repaired at either. What they do not run is the program around it.
A program is a measurement exercise
The difference between a supplier and a program is a number: cost per hour, per machine.
Without it, tire spend is a series of unrelated invoices and nobody can say whether this year was better than last, or whether a change in compound, pressure discipline or haul road maintenance did anything. With it, every decision has a figure attached.
Building that number is most of the work at the start. Keeping it is most of the value afterwards.
What the program covers
- Specification by machine and application, because a loader at the face and a haul truck on a road are different problems.
- Scheduled inspection, including pressures, which is where the savings actually come from.
- Removal decisions, so casings come off while they are still worth retreading rather than after.
- Wheel refurbishing, since the wheel under an OTR tire is expensive and repairable.
- OTR services for the fitting and repair itself.
- Reporting, which turns all of the above into a cost you can act on.
What is not available here
Mobile service. Seven Purcell locations run it and none is in Washington, so the work happens at the store unless you arrange otherwise. Roadside assistance covers commercial units.
Say that plainly at the start of a conversation about a site, because it shapes what a program here looks like.
The first conversation
Bring the machine list with makes, models, tire sizes and quantities. The application and surface for each. Hours per shift and shifts per day. What is failing now, and how. Site access and induction requirements. Who authorizes work, and what reporting you want.
About this store
The Monroe store runs seventeen services, carries OTR, industrial, agricultural, track and every other Purcell tire category, and is managed by JR Webster.
