Equipment on the road is a seasonal problem
For part of the year, the vehicles stopped on the shoulder around here are not all trucks. Tractors, sprayers, grain carts and implements move between fields on public roads, and when one of them stops with a tire problem it stops somewhere narrow, in a hurry, during the weeks when nothing can wait.
That is a different call from a tractor-trailer on an interstate. The unit may be slow to move or impossible to move. The tire may be a size nobody keeps many of. The window may be hours rather than days.
The way to shorten it is to have the conversation before the season: tell the store which machines you run, which sizes you cannot do without, and when your pressure weeks are. A store that already knows is a store that can act rather than ask.
What the store covers
Commercial units: trucks, trailers, fleet vehicles, agricultural and off-highway equipment. This location carries all nine Purcell tire categories, including agricultural and OTR.
Cars and light trucks are the work of the Purcell consumer store at 595 East Anderson, which does not run roadside assistance.
What to have ready
The national roadside assistance page lists what any call needs. The addition in season is whether the unit is carrying or towing an implement, which changes both the access and the equipment.
Authorization and billing are what slow a night call, and a fleet account settles both in advance.
Do not run it flat
A tire driven on with no air usually ends the casing in a short distance, and on a large farm tire the casing is the expensive part. This store collects casings for the Boise plant. See retreading.
About this store
The Idaho Falls commercial store is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managed by Bill Goode. Boise and Twin Falls run the same service.
See the national roadside assistance page for all 48 locations.
