The machine does not have to come to the store
Denver is the only Colorado location offering mobile service, and on OTR work that is a different proposition from what it means for a truck.
Moving a machine is expensive. A loader is not driven across a city; it goes on a float, which costs a transport booking at each end and takes a machine out of production for considerably longer than the tire work itself. For some machines, moving it at all is the largest line in the job.
Planned OTR work at your site removes that. It has limits, and they are worth establishing before you plan around them: mobile service is tire work, site access decides what can be done, and anything needing shop equipment stays at the shop. Ask what applies to your machines and your site rather than assuming either way.
A machine that has already stopped is a roadside call, not a mobile booking.
Repair before replacement
The national OTR services page sets out when an injury is repairable and why, on a tire of this value, repair is frequently the right answer.
With the plant on this site, a tire that turns out not to be repairable is at least in the right place for its casing to be assessed rather than scrapped twice over.
The casing has nowhere to travel
The Purcell retread plant is at this address. On an OTR tire the casing is most of the cost and can carry several treads, which makes the pass rate on your casings a number with real money behind it.
What ends one is heat from under-inflation, a tire run flat, and damage left unrepaired. See retreading and wheel refurbishing.
About this store
The Denver store runs seventeen services, carries OTR tires and every other Purcell category, and is managed by Jake Perry. No Colorado location runs a managed mining program.
Colorado Springs, Loveland and Craig also run OTR services.
See the national OTR services page for all 41 locations.
