Fleets here are rarely one kind of vehicle
Forestry, construction, aggregate and utility work in this part of the state all share a shape: tractors and trailers on the highway, machines on the ground, and a set of pickups that follow the work around.
Those three groups usually get bought for separately, specified separately and invoiced separately, which is why most operations cannot say what tires cost them per unit.
An account at this store covers all three. Lacey carries all nine Purcell tire categories and runs alignment on tractors, trailers and light vehicles, so the whole fleet sits in one place rather than in three.
What gets agreed
Specifications by position and vehicle type. Scheduled work rather than reactive work. Terms and authorization settled once, which is the part that matters on a roadside call. Records, so the figure per unit exists.
The services the account draws on here: heavy-duty truck alignment, trailer alignment, car and light truck alignment, OTR services, retreading, tire and wheel balancing and wheel refurbishing.
Casings are an asset you already own
This is the item most accounts underuse. The Purcell retread plant in Portland, Oregon is the nearest of the seven, so a fleet on this corridor is better placed for retreading than most of the network.
What stops casings coming back is damage, and damage here usually comes from unsealed ground. A cut inspected and repaired is a casing kept. A cut ignored is a casing scrapped, and nobody notices because it never appears as a line item.
Ask for your casing pass rate. It is a number the account can produce, and it moves.
What is not at this store
General vehicle repair. Brakes, oil changes, air conditioning, engine work, cooling system and suspension are at Monroe, which runs seventeen services. A fleet needing both can hold one account and use the store that fits the job.
What to bring
The unit list by type with sizes and positions, equipment and pickups included. Where the vehicles work and on what surface. What has been failing. Who authorizes work, and how you want it billed and reported.
About this store
The Lacey store is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managed by Darren Soares. Renton runs the same nine services at the south end of the Seattle area.
